Tennis Lessons in Serangoon
Serangoon is a leafy town in the north-east of Singapore, with condominiums around Serangoon Avenue 3 and a public tennis centre on Burghley Drive. Our coaches come to your court, so learning tennis fits neatly into your week.
Tennis lessons in Serangoon with TM Tennis Academy are one-hour sessions at your condo court or a public court you book, such as Burghley Tennis Centre, with the coach meeting you there. A private lesson is S$109. A pair lesson is S$119 for both players, and group lessons for three or four players are S$45 a person.
Where Tennis Lessons in Serangoon Take Place
Every lesson happens at a court close to you. If your condominium has a tennis court, that is usually the easiest place to start, and a public court works just as well.
You secure the court, and the coach plans the hour around your level. Each lesson runs for one hour, at a time that fits your court booking.
Burghley Tennis Centre
Serangoon’s public tennis courts are at Burghley Tennis Centre, 43 Burghley Drive, and ActiveSG lists it as open daily from 7am to 10pm. ActiveSG’s page for Serangoon Sport Centre points tennis players to Burghley as the venue nearby.
Courts are booked through ActiveSG, and evening slots fill up early, so it helps to book a few days ahead. Once you have a slot, tell us the date and time, and we match a coach to it. Court fees are paid separately from the lesson, unless we agree otherwise when you book.

Condo Tennis Courts in Serangoon
Several developments in Serangoon have their own tennis courts. For example, Chiltern Park on Serangoon Avenue 3 lists tennis courts among its facilities.
Residents usually book the court through their condo’s own system, following its rules on guests and coaches. Once you have a slot, we arrange the coach, and that is how most tennis lessons in Serangoon at a condo court begin. Our condo tennis lessons page explains how this works in more detail.
Getting Around Serangoon
Serangoon MRT Station (NE12/CC13) at Serangoon Central connects straight into NEX, a handy landmark when you give directions. Lorong Chuan MRT Station (CC14) at 150 Serangoon Avenue 3 is the next Circle Line stop, beside the condominiums along that road.
For lessons at your own condo, the coach travels to you. If you book a public court, send us the address and we plan the coach’s route. Families in neighbouring Bishan can read about our tennis lessons in Bishan.
Private, Pair and Group Lessons in Serangoon
A private tennis lesson gives you the coach’s full attention for the hour, which suits beginners and anyone polishing one part of their game. A pair lesson suits couples, friends or two siblings of a similar level.
A small group of three or four players costs less per person and gives everyone a rally partner. Our group tennis lessons page explains how groups are put together.
Tennis Lessons in Serangoon for Children
A condo court lets children start lessons after school, close to home. The coach uses games and short drills so young players stay busy and have fun.
Our kids tennis lessons are S$99 an hour. Siblings can share a pair lesson, and a few neighbours’ children can form a small group.
Lessons Over the School Holidays
The year-end school holidays are a good time to start, with free weekday mornings that term time rarely allows. Morning slots are also cooler for young players, and a cap and a water bottle help.
Our guide to school holiday tennis covers how often to play, staying safe in the heat and keeping progress going once school starts.
Booking Your Lessons
To start tennis lessons in Serangoon, message us with your court, your level and the days that suit you, and we will suggest a coach and a weekly slot. Please book at least three working days ahead, so we have time to arrange the coach.
You can start with a single lesson and choose a package after it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own racket for the first lesson?
Bring your racket if you have one. If you are buying your first, tell us when you book, and the coach can advise on a racket of the right size and weight for you.
Can the coach teach at any Serangoon condo?
Yes, as long as your condo allows an outside coach on its court. Check the guest and coaching rules with your management office first, then send us your booked slot.
What happens if it rains during the lesson?
If a lesson is stopped within the first 30 minutes, only a 30-minute fee is charged. If it is stopped after 30 minutes, the full fee applies, and any remaining time may be carried forward to another session.
What happens if the coach has to cancel?
If TM Tennis Academy or the coach cancels a lesson, it is rescheduled free of charge. We will contact you to agree a new date and time that suits your court booking.
